What is UIM E1 World Championship?
The UIM E1 World Championship is a revolutionising marine transportation. It’s the beginning of changes towards greener marine practises. This race have electric powerboats with an innovative power. They are supposed to show us good impact of decarbonisation. It’s a great opportunity to leave a positive imprint and transform urban coastal areas into vibrant ecosystems.
What is the purpose of this event?
They’re trying to set a new standard in marine sports by showing us, that even races in oceans can be ecological. Coastal waters will be protected and regenerated by innovate cleaning technologies.
Also, they’re determined to minimse single-use plastics from our oceans. It’s extremely important to take care of this.
Celebrities who appear at the E1 Event:
The E1 Series competition, the electric offshore Formula 1 of the sea, is just two weeks away and will take place in Puerto Banús. This week, the event organizers, led by sports promoter Alejandro Agag and engineer Rodi Basso, who has collaborated with NASA and the Red Bull and Ferrari racing teams, set up the VIP box. Marbella is the only Spanish town chosen to host this competition, which will also visit Monaco, Venice, Geneva, Jeddah, and Hong Kong, where the championship final will be held.
The competition will occur on June 1 and 2, featuring several teams competing to qualify for the E1 Puerto Banús GP. The teams will be led by internationally renowned figures such as Rafa Nadal, Sergio Pérez, Didier Drogba, Tom Brady, Steve Aoki, Will Smith, and Marc Anthony. As a prelude to the event, Marc Anthony will perform on May 31 as part of the Oasis Marbella Fest music series.
